L. J. DUSOLD DIES SUDDENLY

Funeral Services Will Be Thursday Morning at Church

Lewis Joseph Dusold, 66 years of age, died late Monday night at his apartment in Century annex, 12 - 1/2 Delaware avenue southeast, from an attack of heart disease. He had been in poor health for about six weeks but was able to be up Monday. Monday evening he gathered with some friends, retiring at his usual time. He suddenly suffered the attack of disease while in bed and died. Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Thursday morning at St. Joseph's Catholic church. The Rev. P. S. O'Connor will be in charge. The body will then be taken overland to West Bend for burial. Plans have been made for Rosary at the Meyer funeral home at 8 o'clock Tuesday and Wednesday nights. The body will remain at the funeral home until the services are held.

Mr. Dusold was born Nov. 16, 1863, at Batavia, Ill. In 1920 he came to Mason City from Ottosen and had since lived here. Mr. Dusold was a carpenter but after being in Mason City for a year was employed by the M. and St. L. railroad, where he worked until last February.

He is survived by his widow, two sons, Berthold Dusold and Edward Dusold, both at home; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Wasley, West Union, and Mrs. Loyed Bunden, Republic, Mo.; and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Showers, Beloit, Wis., and

Mrs. Albert Otto, Wayne, Ill. A son preceded him in death in 1900 at the age of three years. Mr. Dusold was a member of St. Joseph's church.

Rites are Held for L. J. Dusold; Body Taken to West Bend

The body of Lewis Joseph Dusold, 12 - 1/2 Delaware avenue southeast, was taken to West Bend Thursday following services at Mason City. Requiem high mass was celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic church with Dean P. S. O'Connor in charge. Larry Reardon sang a solo. Pallbearers were Ray Swanson, C. E. Cooper, A. S. Knapp, D. E. Sullivan, Gus Isaacson and D. P. Ryan. The body was taken overland to West Bend. The Rev. P. M. Dobberstein, a friend of Mr. Dusold, was in charge of a short service at the grave at West Bend.

Relatives here for the funeral included the following: Mr. and Mrs. Harold Walsey and daughter, Mary Louise; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Munden Republic, Mo.: Mrs. Maggie Showers, Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Showers, Mrs. Clifford Johnston and daughter, Roberta, Beloit. Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Otto, Wayne, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Shumpp and children; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Schumpp, Miss Hattie Schumpp and Frank Schumpp, Clarion; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Deninger and children, Manly; Mrs. Hortense Snow, West Union, and Mrs. and Mrs. Henry Cox, Omaha. Mr. Dusold died Monday.
