for Lucy
Martinussen

Lucy Martinussen, 102, died Thursday afternoon in a Mason City hospital. She had lived in Mason City 52 years and had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. H. G. (Lillian) Hamilton, 410 1st. S.E.

Mrs. Martinussen was born June 30, 1862, at Watertown Wis. She was married to Louis D. Gamm, April 3, 1881, and they moved to Garner in 1883.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Roy (Lena) Nelson, LaPorte, Tex.; Mrs. A. W. (Myrtle) Beecher, Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Hamilton. Two sons preceded her in death, Raymond Gamm,
Montevideo, Minn., and Archard Gamm, Sheffield.

Mr. Gamm died in 1896. In 1900, she was married to P. O. Martinussen at Garner. He died in 1911 in Freeport, Ill. Mrs. Martinussen came to Mason City in 1912.

Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 18 great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both of her husband and two sons, a brother and four sisters.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Major Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Leroy E. Bauman, associate pastor of the First Methodist
Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery at Garner.

Pallbearers selected are grandsons,Archard J. Gamm Jr., Richard R. Gamm, Jack Ryner and James M. Sweeney. Mrs Roy Servison will be the organist. Friends may call at the chapel until the time of services.
