MASON CITY – Mrs. Everett R. (Alvena M.) Beisel, 69, of 14 Stony Way, died Thursday (Dec. 22, 1988) at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Mason City, of natural causes.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 209 Second St. N.E., with the Rev. Jack VanDenHeuvel of Rolling Acres Christian Reformed Church and the Rev. Murley A. Severston of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. today until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Beisel was born Nov. 19, 1919, in rural Franklin County to Hugo and Helene (Hillmer) Marquardt.

She attended rural schools in Franklin County. She graduated from Chapin Consolidated High School. She then came to Mason City and graduated from Hamilton Business College.

She was married to Everett R. Beisel on Jan 1, 1947, in Mason City. They lived on a farm near Zumbrota, Minn., from 1955 until 1959 when they moved back to Mason City.

Before her marriage, she was employed by Lock Photo in Mason City. From 1959 until 1962, she was employed by Schanke and Company as a bookkeeper and office manager.

Survivors include her husband, Everett, Mason City; one daughter, Mrs. Gloria Jean Katter, Garner; one grandson; and two sisters, Mrs. Olga Beisel, Mason City, and Mrs. Marguerite Dannen, Sheffield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons and two brothers.
