Capt. Frederick B. Shaffer announces that James W. MacDonald, 218 Thirteenth street northeast and Everett G. Berry, 221 Third street northwest have enlisted in Company F 133rd Infantry, Iowa national guard, for a period of three years.
Frank Law has been promoted to the rank of sergeant and Sergt. John Madigan has been transferred from duty sergeant to supply sergeant of the same company.
Corp. Williams Laupitz will spend Sunday on the range where he will fire the preliminary and record course with the 32 caliber automatic pistol. The firing will be under the supervision of Lieut. Will E. Hall of Headquarters company.
