Miss Anna Mae Dougherty Is Married to
Cletus HeppMr and Mrs. Patrick F. Dougherty of Dougherty announce the marriage of their daughter, Anna Mae, to Cletus Hepp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hepp of Emmetsburg which took place at a nuptial high mass celebrated at 9 o'clock Oct. 15 in St. Patrick's church, the Rev. Paul Maquire officiating. The double ring ceremony was used.
Donald and Donovan Staudt were acolytes and music was provided by the choir, accompanied by Sister Mary Cecila. During the offerty James, Don, Pat and David Boyle, cousins of the bride, sang "Ave Maria" and "Domine Non Sum Dignus".
Miss Mary Hepp, of Emmetsburg, sister of the bridegroom, and James J. Dougherty, brother of
the bride, attended the couple.The bride wore a long white nylon gown with a train. Her tulle veil was held by a rhinestone trimmed coronet. She had a necklace of pearls and carried a shower of pink roses and gradenias, a white prayerbook and a white rosary, a gift from the bridegroom.
The bridemaid's gown was blue, with a matching veil and she carried Talisman roses. The mothers of the couple wore black with white accessories.
Dinner was served at 1 o:clock at the Dougherty home to 60 guests. Those from out of town were the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Edward Dougherty of Waterloo, the Rev. Francis Illg of Mallard, Mr. and Mrs Fred Hepp, Mr. and Mrs. Tom H. Conlin, Emmetsburg, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Conlin of Ayrshire, Messrs. and Mmes. Victor Coyle, James Coyle, W.A. Berry, Larry Mason and Pat Herold and daughter, Cathryn, Mrs. Paul Hurley, David L. Boyle and Mrs Grace Blanchard all of Mason City, Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Campbell and Mrs Mary Keefe, Charles City, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Posecany, Nashua.
For going away, the bride wore a brown suit with matching accessories. Mr. and Mrs. Hepp will be at home in Mason City where he is a student at the Hamilton School of Commerce. He is a veteran of World War II, having served from August, 1942, to January, 1946 in the European theater.
He is a graduate of the Mallard high school.
The bride is a graduate of St. Patrick's high school at Dougherty.
