Mary Ellen Galagan Weds
Edward Murphy at Church
in Rockwell.ROCKWELL- Sacred Heart church was the scene of the wedding June 1 of Miss Mary Ellen Galagan,
daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. B.S. Galagan of Rockwell, and Edward J. Murphy, son of Mrs Rose Murphy of Cartersville, performed by the Rev. Father Joseph Murphy, brother of the bridegroom.
The music was provided by the Rev. L. W. Klassen,
accompanied by Julia Mae Scholl.The bride was given in marriage by her father and was attended by her sister, Miss Catherine Galagan of Hampton as maid of honor. Miss Maurice Murphy, sister of the bridegroom, was the bride's maid and Vincent Murphy was his brother's best man.
Twenty guests were entertained at the bride's home immediately following the ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of Rockwell high school and Iowa State Teachers college at Cedar Falls where she was affiliated with Purple Arrow.
For the past four years she has been teaching in the junior high school at Armstrong.The bridegroom is a graduate of St. Patrick's Academy of Dougherty. After a short wedding trip they will make their home on a farm near Rockwell.
