Elected President of Holy Family Organization
Richard HUGHES has been elected president of the newly formed Holy Family Athletic association it was announced Monday by Father Robert SWIFT, Holy Family athletic director.Other officers elected include Lyle McCAULEY, vice president; Leon GREEN, secretary; Nick DiMARCO, treasurer and Al GERARD, in charge of transportation.
The Maroons, recent victors in the Dubuque diocese basketball tournament, will jump back into action against Hansell on the high school floore here Tuesday night. Hansell last week won the Franklin county cage tourney. The Holy Family club will be after its 6th consecutive triumph.
Thursday night the 2nd battle for the parochial school championship of Mason City will take place, also on the high school floor, when the Maroons tangle with the Mohawks of St. Joseph's. The St. Joe club already holds a victory over Holy Family.
