A quiet wedding occurred in Clear Lake, on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 15, at the home of Rev. R. R. Wood, the officiating clergyman, when J. Barton Eddy and Carrie E. Gates were married. Barton has lived most of his life in this township at the head of the lake and is well and favorably known as an energetic, honorable young man. Carrie moved recently to that vicinity is not as widely known but those who have formed her acquaintance know her to be an accomplished young lady, well qualified to make an agreeable and pleasant home for her chosen mate. They move onto a farm in Hancock county about March 1st. May the blessings of the Heavenly Father follow them.
