Mr. and Mrs. B. C. MYHR have received a letter Aug. 15, from their son, Sgt. Ellsworth MYHR, stating that he had arrived in England. He is with the infantry. Another son, Pvt. Carol MYHR, has recently been transferred to the motor pool of military police at the Algona prison camp.

Roll of Service Men, WomenOf the 2,333 students who have attended Mason City junior college since its establishment in 1918, a total of 568 are in service of their country. This roll is now nearing completion through the efforts of the war service committee, Eva LAROS and Harriet MEGATH. . . .
. . . The 415 undergraduates in service, five are reported as missing in action: Robert HAYES, army; Richard H. KNUDSON, navy; Ellsworth MYHR, army, Clear Lake; Kenneth PIERCE, navy; and Robert W. LEWIS, army. . . .
NOTE: Sgt. MYHR was a prisoner of war.

Ellsworth MYHR, who was recently discharged from the service, has accepted a position as manager of the lumber yard at Portsmouth, Iowa, 40 miles from Omaha, and, with Mrs. [Patricia (CRUISE)] MYHR and the baby [Sandra Jean], moved there Tuesday.
