David,
I don't know if Wells Spicer is part of the Spicer family of Farmington Michigan. In fact I have been trying to find out his ancestry for many years now. It is said he returned to Tombstone, wandered out into the desert one day where he is presumed to have died. Other than his part in the Tombstone and Mountain Meadows cases, little is known about him. I cannot find a wife or children although have the names of his parent's, brother and sister I have not found much else. Judge Spicer's grandparents may have been Samuel and Hannah Wedge Wells. I wish I could help you. This man has been driving me crazy for a long time now! If you happen to find any more on him I would really like to hear it!
