The house no longer exists, but a marker was placed by the Daughters of the American Revolution commemorating the location. It is in the rural Springdale area at 1779 Hayes Ave., just north of I-80. As a Maxon & a DAR member , I have been interested in this topic. In a issue of the Cedar County Historical Review dated July 2002 there is a lengthy article about Brown & the Maxon farm & etc.
