Gerald,
I would start by searching the 1873 and 1875 Iowa State Census for all Casebeer's in Cedar County.

I also ran "Casebeer" through the biographical sketch index and found the following links. Perhaps some of these people were related and a collateral search could help. Also, have you tried searching for land records for Casebeers during the timeframe they lived in Cedar Co. Iowa? This is how I found my great grandmothers parents in Johnson Co. Iowa. I wouldn't image there'd be that many Casebeers owning property at that time in that area. Very uncommon name I would guess.
