I just read your query about Samantha Wiley Walton who was married to James F. Walton. I have an obituary for James, who died in 1931 in Linn Grove, Iowa. However there is nothing in the obituary about Samantha (Mattie), only Alice Inman and Rose Thompson who he was married to at the time of his death.

James's grandfather, Col David Walton was my great great grandfather. I am descended from James Cowine Walton.
