Hi Betty. =) I went to the courthouse today and found what you are looking for!

Fred Louis Schmidt, age 22 and living in Lowden, Cedar county, IA, married Leona Kintzel, age 20 and living in Clarence, were married 19 October 1922. I found it in Marriage Record Book 'N' page 301. Fred was the son of Charles Ernest and Wilhelmina Butterbrodt Schmidt. I then did some more checking and unfortunately, Fred died young. He is found buried at Van Buren cemetery, next to his parents. Per Stones and Sites - Frederick Schmidt 1899-1923.
