Clark Ancestors

CLARK, KIZER, COUNTRYMAN

Here is my brick wall. My g.g.grandfather David R. Clark (b. 7 Oct 1820, d. 10 Oct 1874) came to Tipton about 1858, from the state of Maine, with his wife Ruth (Mitchell) Clark and three children - Sara Augusta, Frederick A. and David W. (my g.grandfather who married Emily Kizer in 1875.) Four more children were born in Tipton - Marietta E., Frank J., Charley and Jennie. The David R. and David W. families are burined at the Masonic Cemetery along with many of my Countryman relatives.

If anyone can help me find information on the parents of David R. Clark I would be very grateful. All that I have been able to find is a small article in "The Jackson Sentinel" (1874 Maquoketa, IA) saying that David R. Clark and William Delz (Diltz?) were accidentally killed by a large falling rock just outside of Tipton.

My line is as follows: David R. Clark, David W. Clark, Mary Louisa Clark (who married Charles Eugene Countryman in 1911 in Tipton - my grandparents), and Warren Kizer Countryman, b. 1914 in Tipton (my father.)
