Dolores Tevis

Funeral services for Dolores Mae Tevis, 1930-2007, 77, Tipton, were held Friday, Sept. 28, 2007 at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton, with the Rev. Ronald Lashmit officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Mrs. Tevis died Sept. 25 at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty, following a lingering illness.

The daughter of Fred and Audrey Statts Coleman, she was born Feb. 2, 1930 in Stanwood. She married Chester Roy Tevis on March 1, 1947 in Tipton.

Mrs. Tevis had been a waitress at the M and L Café in Tipton.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Cathy Tevis-Wallace, Tipton; Justine (Ryan) Reynolds, Tipton; and Penne (Merlin) Wallace, Tipton; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Doris (Paul) Osborn, Tipton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband on Nov. 19, 1995.
