The Cedar Co. Historical Society Museum is where you want to go. They have a room just for research. They have the Tipton Advertiser and Conservative on microfilm starting in the 1850's to the 1980's. They also have the original papers. They also have death records, censuses, and a big obituary collection. I personally have done alot of research there. There hours are Tuesday and Thursday 10 am till 4 pm and Saturday 10 am till 2 pm. You can contact Sandy at cchsmus@iowatelecom.net She is the museum curator and can help with any questions you have. Good Luck and happy hunting! :D
