Gerald - Sarah Jane Myers was the daughter of Delina Searl and Joseph S. Myers. She was most likely born in Bureau Co. IL, as that is where Delina and Joseph S. Myers married 13 Dec 1837, and where Delina's father and brothers settled - on Searl's Ridge. It would appear that Delina died between 25 Nov 1839 when Sarah Jane was born and 1845 when Sarah Jane Myers is listed as the only surviving daughter of Delina the Deceased wife of Joseph S. Myers and daughter of Timothy Searl... at which time it says that she is a resident of the Territory of Iowa. Then Sarah Jane and her father Joseph S. Myers are in the 1850 census living with Delina's sister Mary (Searl) & Henry Hardman. I have more to share on this family and would love to know more about the Barclay family. dorrie
