George,
The Fell Family in my line came from Germany in 1851 and went to Southeastern Ohio where the parents died. Two sons, a stepson (named John Hester, who married a Fell cousin) left Ohio and ventured into Iowa between 1894/1895 where they married and had children. There is absolutely no connection South Carolina or England. Thus we descend from a different line of Fell's. Sorry !!!
These two brothers; Wendell and Matthias had between them (at least) nine children so there are likely great grandchildren still living in Iowa. At one point I did hear from a young college student named Brendon Duffy who was definitely connected to this family. However, we lost touch and now I can't seem to locate him. Too bad as I have made great progress and have a great deal to share.
