My records give the following: Grant Carl (b. about 1867) son of Preston Carl (1845-1866) and Alice Osborn. Preston Carl s/o John Carl (1800-1868) and Cyrena Coleman (1811-1855). John Carl s/o Isaac Carl (?-1847) and Prudence Lupton. Preston Carl is mentioned in History of Cedar Co., Iowa (Western Historical Co., Chicago, 1878) on p. 580.

I have no other info about Grant or his children.
