In Response To: Springdale: John Brown's 1858 Raid/ Edwin & Barclay Coppoc (Karen Anderson, Scott County Historic Preservation Society)

Karen,
The Maxson farm is still there, east of Springdale. I do not remember if there are still the outbuildings, etc, but there is an historic marker there marking it as the house where John Brown and his men trained.

I do not have any information regarding the Coppoc(k) boys time in Springdale before joining Brown. If I come across anything I will pass it on.

The Hoover Association website has some information about the Underground Railroad in the area, which provides some interesting information.
