HI-
In a family history written by my GG Grandfather Col R G Scott, he claims that Gen. Winfield Scott is a cousin of his fathers but does not provide any other info. General Scott's family has an earlier immigration but the family name there may not have originally been Scott, seems they were fleeing Scotland after supporting the failed attempt of James the Pretender to retake the throne. Please let me know if you find anything.
