Funeral services for Marjorie A. Kruse, 94, Tipton, were held Jan. 17, 1994 at the Tipton United Methodist church, with the Rev. Marvin Ceynar officiating. Sylvia Gould was the organist and pallbearers were Phillip Hargrave, Jim Jorgensen, Bernal Shontz, Don Armstrong, Wayne Biggs and Ralph Wilke. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.
Mrs. Kruse died Jan. 14 at Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton.
The daughter of George and Anna Guyer Brickey, she was born Aug. 13, 1899 in Corwith. She graduated from Britt high school in 1917. She married Edward A. Kruse June 3, 1920 in Cedar Rapids.
Mrs. Kruse was a bookkeeper. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Tipton Senior Citizens.
She is survived by a daughter, Vivian (Mrs. Jim) Shontz, Tipton; a son, Leon Kruse, Davenport; and a grandson, Steven Shontz, Manchester. She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Gladys; and a brother, Merle.
