Funeral services for Bernice K. Oetting, 72, Clarence, were held Dec. 14, 1993 at the Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, with the Rev. Jo Green officiating. Burial was in the Stanwood cemetery.

Mrs. Oetting died Dec. 11 at the Mechanicsville Care Center, following a long illness.

The daughter of Carl and Bertha Gottschalk Gallmeyer, she was born Feb. 21, 1921 in rural Cedar county, near Stanwood. She graduated from Stanwood high school in 1939. She married Everett Oetting Aug. 28, 1940 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He died in October 1985.

Mrs. Oetting was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence. She had been a resident of the Mechanicsville Care Center for the past 3 years.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Virtis Gallmeyer, Fontanelle; one niece and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother, Don Gallmeyer.
