Last rites for Floyd C. Aegerter, 79, will be held at the Sheets and Son Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14 with the Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.
Pallbearers are Verlon Weaver, Bud Schroder, Dean Moore, Lewis Wagner, John Albaugh and John Cook. Sue Nebergall is organist.
Mr. Aegerter died at his home Jan. 10.
The son of Ernest and Mary Drewis Aegerter, he was born in Tripoli May 2, 1908. He was educated in the rural schools of Cedar county.
He was married to Gladys Schroeder in Tipton in December, 1940. After her death he was married to Lois R. Barkema at Rock Island, Ill. June 17, 1973.
Mr. Aegerter spent his life in the Tipton and West Branch areas. After retiring from farming he worked at Farmers Feed & Supply, West Branch, for 10 years. He was a member of the Moose lodge, Tipton.
He is survived by his wife; 3 daughters, Mrs. John (Marguerite) Dorton, Muscatine; Mrs. Harold (Carol) Dawson, Mechanicsville and Mrs. Denise Emmons, Worthington, Minn.; a son, Larry, Phoenix, Ariz.; 6 grandchildren; 4 sisters, Mrs. Frank (Hazel) Helminick, St. Paul, Minn.; Mrs. Adelia Stringer, Milwaukee, Wis.; Mrs. Mabel Kohlmeyer, Sumner and Mrs. Florence Hamre, Davenport and a brother, Hadwin, St. Pul, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his first wife and 2 brothers.
