Funeral services for Mrs. Dick (Verda) Kai, 79, were held at the Lacock Funeral home, Durant, April 20 with the Rev. Paul Pennington officiating. Burial was in the Durant cemetery. Pallbearers were Herschel Fitzer, Kenneth Finck, Dave Happ, Paul Kelding, Johnnie Bradt and Leo Weih.

Mrs. Kai died at her home in Durant April 18.

The daughter of Henry and Amanda Johnson Myers, she was born in Cedar county July 15, 1911. She married Clarence (Dick) Kai in Davenport Feb. 21, 1934. She was a member of the Sunbury Royal Neighbors of America and the Durant Senior Citizens.

She is survived by her husband and 4 brothers, Harry Myers, Wilton; Walter Myers, Clarence; Leo Myers, Bennett and Hubert Myers, Tipton. She was preceded in death by a sister.
