Last rites for Raymond Everett Spencer, 67, were held at the First United Methodist church May 13 with Dr. Glenn Parrott officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. George Thordsen was vocalist and Mrs. Kenneth Gould organist.

Pallbearers were Harlan Rixe, Wayne Biggs, Richard Woodhouse, Richard Skladzien, Elmer Flory and Ronald Kirkpatrick. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Moon and Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Petersen were in charge of flowers. Rose Croix services were held at the funeral home May 12 with full military rites at the grave by the Garey-Whalen Post of the American Legion.

The son of Michael S. and Myrta Carl Spencer, he was born at Tipton Jan. 10, 1907 and graduated from Tipton high school in 1926 and Tipton junior college in 1929. He was married to Dorotha Nauman at Tipton, Sept. 2, 1930.

Mr. Spencer was employed by the Cedar county engineer's office for many years.

He was a member of the Methodist church, the American Legion, the Masonic lodge, the Order of the Eastern Star at Wilton and the Davenport Shrine and Consistory. He was a veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, 3 brothers, Donald, Moline, Ill.; Kermit, Tipton and Kenneth, Carson, Calif. and several nieces and nephews.
