Funeral services for Fritz G. Kuemmerer, 79, were held at the Sheets and Son funeral home May 6 with the Rev. Jerry Jorgenson officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Lawrence Brown, Allan Dolan, Leonard Port, Lloyd Brown, Walter Fankhauser and James Lyle. Merritt Womach was vocalist.

Mr. Kuemmerer died at his home in Tipton May 2 following an extended illness.

The son of John G. and Barbara Lillig Kuemmerer, he was born at Walhalla, S.C., Dec. 15, 1894 and was educated in the schools of the area. He was a retired construction worker, having lived in Dubuque before coming to Tipton 13 years ago. He was married twice, first to Hazel Hook and later to DeLette Williams.

He is survived by a stepson, Donald Kuemmerer, Center Point; several nieces and nephews, John Kuemmerer, Mrs. Claude (Carrie) Knoor and Mrs. J. B. Dilworth, all of Walhalla, N.C. and the Rev. F. W. Brandt, Altoona, Pa.

He was preceded in death by his wives and several brothers and sisters.
