Funeral services for Clyde Winter, 58, West Branch, were held at Muscatine Feb. 18. Mr. Winter was found dead in his home near West Branch, Feb. 16.

Born Dec. 5, 1905, he was a resident of the West Branch area for many years. He married Hazel Winter in 1936 in Monmouth, Ill. He was a retired farmer.

He is survived by 3 step-sons, Lester and Virgil Schmelzer, both of Muscatine and Frank Schmelzer of California; a step-daughter, Mrs. Al (Josephine) Halzer, San Diego, Calif.; several brothers and a sister.

He was preceded in death by his wife, a sister and 3 brothers.
