Funeral services for Louis H. Dettmann, Clarence, 85, were held July 7 at the Chapman Funeral home with the Rev. Calvin Schumacher officiating. Burial was in the Clarence cemetery.

He was born Jan. 15, 1888 in Cedar county, the son of Franz and Elizabeth Peters Dettmann. He was a veteran of World War I and died at the Clarence Nursing home July 5.

Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Anna Toerber and Mrs. Walter Hein, both of Stanwood and Mrs. Frank Fisher, Sr., Clarence, also nieces and nephews.
