Funeral services for Floyd Christee, 71, West Branch, were held May 1 with the Rev. Richard White officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mr. Christee died of an apparent heart attack at his cabin on the Cedar river at Cedar Valley.

The son of Frank and Adaline McCullough Christee, he was born at Oxford Jan. 27, 1902 and was married to Lena Marolf in 1924. She died in 1955. In 1956, he married Shirley Staley at Walnut Ridge, Ark.

He was the owner and operator of Christee Pump shop in West Branch, and a member of Wapsinonoc Masonic lodge 381 at West Branch.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Shirley) Baker, West Liberty; Pamela Jo and Barbara Ann, both at home; 5 grandchildren; 4 sisters, Mrs. Frank (Bessie) Huff and Mrs. Mearle (Gladys) Holland, both of West Branch; Mrs. Lou (Myrtle) Edwards, Oxford; and Mrs. Reed (Arlene) Diltz, Eureka, Calif., and a brother, John, Iowa City.

He was preceded in death by a brother, sister and 2 sons.
