Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel Crees, 83, were held at West Liberty April 16 with the Rev. Max E. Paige officiating. Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery.

Pallbearers were Duane and Glenn Dotson, Richard and Avie Anderson and Robert and Evan Clemmens. Mrs. Helen Millett was organist.

Mrs. Crees died at St. Luke's hospital, Iowa City, April 12 following a brief illness.

The daughter of Melvin and Anna Elizabeth Long Wilson, she was born in Cedar county Nov. 19, 1889 and was married to Roscoe Anderson. Following his death she married Lawrence Crees June 14, 1927. They operated the general store at Rochester for many years and farmed in the Rochester area. Mr. Crees died in 1952.

She had lived at Meth-Wick Manor in Cedar Rapids for 7 years. She was a member of the Rochester Methodist church.

Survivors include 2 brothers, Calvin, Tipton and Elwood, Cedar Rapids; a sister, Mrs. William (Kate) Brockermeyer, Oelwein and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands and one sister.
