Funeral services for John L. Marolf, 86, were held at Wilton, March 15 with the Rev. Fred S. Boyce officiating. Burial was in Oakdale cemetery, Wilton.

Mr. Marolf died at Muscatine General hospital March 12 following a short illness.

Born Jan. 14, 1887 in Cedar county, the son of John C. and Anna Marie Welchli Marolf, he had been a life resident of the Wilton community.

He married Lena Weiss in Atalissa April 28, 1926. Mr. Marolf was a retired farmer and a member of the Zion Lutheran church of Muscatine.

Survivors include his wife; 2 sons, Ernest D., Muscatine and Edwin W., Davenport; 2 daughters, Margaret R. Marolf, Muscatine, and Mrs. Paul (June Marie) Welton, Harbor City, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Emma Hammerich, Wilton; and 3 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
