Funeral services for Nevin R. Hinkhouse, 67, were held at the West Liberty Presbyterian church Feb. 26 with the Rev. Roy Shaughnessy and the Rev. J. Henry Teele officiating. Burial was in Sharon cemetery north of Wilton.
The son of Albert J. and Evelyn Cole Hinkhouse, he was born in Cedar county Oct. 14, 1905. He was married to Belle Walton Sept. 13, 1939. He farmed in the West Liberty area.
He was a member of the West Liberty Presbyterian church, a former member of the West Liberty Community School board, a member of the West Liberty Rotary club and the State and Cedar County Historical societies.
He is survived by his wife, a son, Steven W. and a daughter, Anne E., both of West Liberty; a brother, Elmer, Cedar Rapids and a sister, Mrs. Hazel Rogers, Denver, Colo. He was preceded in death by a sister.
