Last rites for Clarence Herman Budelier, 85, were held at St. Mary's church, Wilton, Feb. 7 with the Rev. John Kennedy officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery.

Mr. Budelier died at the Wilton Nursing home Feb. 4 following a lengthy illness.

He was born July 21, 1887, in Illinois, the son of Robert and Rose Rininslant Budelier, and had resided in the Wilton area most of his life.

He married Mary C. Doran at St. Mary's church, Wilton, June 9, 1915.

After attending Wilton College he was employed at the United Savings bank in Wilton for 27 years where he served as cashier. Following his employment at the bank he engaged in farming.

Mr. Budelier was a former member of the board of trustees of St. Mary's church and also was a member of the Wilton Township Farm Bureau.

Survivors include 4 sons, Robert, Wilton; Joe, Durant; Eugene, Stevens Point, Wis.; and Leo, Davenport; 3 daughters, Mrs. Harold (Darlene) Geist, Eldridge; Mrs. Warren (Rose Mary) Ehrecke, Durant; and Mrs. Bill (Margaret) Paulsen, Durant; 2 brothers, Herman, Rock Island, Ill., and Earl, Wilton; 3 sisters, Mrs. Verna Smith, Wilton; Mrs. Etta Finck, Durant, and Mrs. Rose Grunder, Davenport; 29 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife and a brother.
