Funeral services for Mrs. Ona E. Abbott, 77, West Branch, were held in West Branch, Sept. 21, with the Rev. Max Paige officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery, Iowa City.

Mrs. Abbott died at a West Branch nursing home Sept. 19 after a long illness.

Mrs. Abbott was born May 7, 1893, at Iowa City, the daughter of William and Eva Rogers. She was a lifelong resident of the West Branch and Iowa City areas. She was married in 1930 to Goerge Abbott at Hampton.

She was a member of the West Branch United Methodist church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Iowa City Rebekah lodge and the West Branch Birthday club.

Surviving are 2 brothers, Norman Rogers, West Branch and Lloyd Rogers, Coralville; a sister, Mrs. Adeline Gibson, West Branch, and several nephews and nieces. Her husband and 2 brothers died earlier.
