Graveside services for Mrs. Frances Banks, 68, were held at the Tipton Masonic cemetery May 1 with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Mrs. Banks died April 29 at the Tipton Custodial home following an extended illness.

The daughter of John and Frances Neuberger Shafer, she was born in Johnson county April 24, 1902 and attended the Johnson county schools. She had been a resident of the custodial home since November.

It is believed that she is survived by brothers and a sister.
