Funeral services for Brace West, 69, were held in West Branch March 16 with burial in the West Branch cemetery. Mr. West died in West Branch March 13, following a heart attack.

He was born April 6, 1900, at Paris, Mo., son of Joseph and Nannie West. He married Bessie Morgan on Feb. 14, 1962, at Iowa City.

For many years he was employed as a caretaker at the West Branch cemetery. Surviving are his widow, one stepson, Kenneth Lathrop, West Branch and several brothers and sisters.
