Funeral services for Karl W. Ketelsen, 60, Iowa City, a native of Tipton, were held at Iowa City March 23 with burial int he Masonic cemetery at Tipton.

Ketelsen, president of Central Ready-Mix company, Iowa City, died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, March 20.

Born Nov. 8, 1909, in Tipton, he was the son of Philip and Charlotte Aldrich Ketelsen. He married Frances Ringena Aug. 2, 1935, at Brooklyn.

Mr. Ketelsen was a member of the First Presbyterian church and of Sigma Nu social fraternity. He was past exalted ruler of the Elks lodge, and a member of the Masonic lodge, the Palestine Commandery and Kaaba Shrine.

Surviving are his widow; 2 daughters, Mrs. E. L. (Mary Katherine) Daniel, Yakima, Wash. and Mrs. William C. (Nancy) Barnhart, Clarendon Hills, Ill.; 5 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Donald B. (Marian) Durian of Evanston, Ill. A sister died earlier.
