Funeral services for Hilbert F. Johnson, 82, Miami, Fla., former member of the Wilton Community school board, were held at Coral Gables, Fla., Nov. 14.

Graveside services will be at Oakdale cemetery, Wilton.

Mr. Johnson died in Miami Nov. 12.

Born April 28, 1887 at Wilton he was a son of William G. and Medora Hill Johnson. He was educated in the Wilton public schools.

Mr. Johnson married the former Bessie Lee Nicolaus, Dec. 27, 1906 at Wilton. He was a member of the Methodist church, a 50 year member and past master of the Wilton Lodge 167 AF and AM. He had served many years as a member of the schoolboard at Wilton and was a retired farmer.

Surviving are a son, Frank Johnson of Durant; a daughter, Mrs. Clark (Miriam) Johnston, Miami; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife and a son.
