Funeral services for Robert Lee Oxley, 36, were held at the Methodist church in Mechanicsville May 31 with the Rev. James Nelson officiating.

Mr. Oxley died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, May 28 following a short illness.

The son of Loren and Doris Nuessbaum Oxley, he was born July 27, 1932, and was married to Frances L. Turner at Letts July 25, 1954. The couple moved to Mechanicsville from West Liberty in 1956 where he was a territory feed salesman for Yoder Feed.

He was a member of the United Methodist church, Patmos Lodge, AF & AM and Evangeline chapter, OES. He served in the Korean War from 1953 to 1955.

He is survived by his wife; 3 children, Kristen, Kelly and Kurt; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Oxley, Pella; a brother, Donald, West Liberty and a sister, Marilyn, Kensington, Md.
