Funeral services for Mrs. Gerald (Beulah) Jones, 70, who died April 27 at her home in Stanwood, were held April 30 in the Stanwood Methodist church. The Rev. James Nelson officiated. Burial was in the Stanwood cemetery.

Mrs. E. W. Speer was organist and Mrs. John Swift was vocalist.

Pallbearers were John Aylsworth, Raymond Klemme, Glenn Tenley, L. W. Meyer, Henry Ormsby and Paul Portewig. Mrs. Meryl Strauser and Mrs. Freda Johnson were in charge of flowers.

Beulah Achenbach was born Nov. 20, 1898 in Cedar Bluff, the daughter of Alexander and Mary Schutt Achenbach. She attended the rural Cedar county schools.

Nov. 9, 1931 she was united in marriage to Gerald Jones at Rock Island, Ill. She was a resident of Stanwood for the last 40 years and a member of the Stanwood Methodist church and Ladies Aid society.

Survivors are her husband; a son, John, Cedar Rapids; 2 brothers, Earl Achenbach, Lisbon and Walter Achenbach, Mt. Vernon; 4 sisters, Mrs. Russell (Nola) Howard, Tipton; Mrs. Harry (Velma) Hegarty, Stanwood; Mrs. Hilbert (Mildred) Dice, Volga and Mrs. Roger (Clara) Messner, West Liberty and 3 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a granddaughter.
