Funeral services were held April 28 for Clarence Ogden, 77, in St. Paul's Lutheran church, Stanwood, with the Rev. R. M. Muhl officiating. Music was provided by the men's chorus with Emil Licht organist. Burial was in the Stanwood cemetery, where military rites were presented by American Legion Victory Post 286, Clarence.

Pallbearers were Lee Freeman, Raymond Doermann, Everett Bixler, Lee Kemmann, Lloyd Robinson and Emil Laschansky. Mrs. Arthur Ehlers and Mrs. Ralph Rorick were in charge of the flowers.

Mr. Ogden died April 24 in the Veteran's hospital, Iowa City, where he had been a patient for 6 weeks. He was born Oct. 11, 1891 in Pennsylvania and was married to Emma Meyer at Stanwood on Dec. 26, 1930. He was a retired farmer and a veteran of World War I.

Survivors are his wife, Emma; 2 daughters, Betty Feddersen, Olin, and Mrs. Albert (Shirley) Meyer, Anamosa; 4 sons, David, William and Donald, all of Tipton, and Larry, New Liberty; 16 grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Ruth Steiner and Ellen Werener.
