Funeral services for Otis M. Ellis, 82, Durant, a retired carpenter, were held April 26 at St. Paul's Episcopal church in Durant. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.

Mr. Ellis, a Durant resident for 61 years, died April 24 in his home after an extended illness.

He was born in Monticello, Mo. He married Laura Stoterau in 1908 in Davenport. She died in 1943. They lived in Durant, where Mr. Ellis was a carpenter for William Banks and C. T. Schacht, contractors, until his retirement.

Mr. Ellis married Susie Keersen in 1945.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Roy, Tulsa, Okla.; 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
