Funeral services for Grant G. Walton, 77, were held March 31 at the Sheets and Son Funeral home with the Rev. E. H. Lauer officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were Oscar Glick, Harry Wehde, Louis Stoltenberg, James Walton, Wesley Marquett and George Lemkau. Mrs. Arnold Swan was organist. Mr. and Mrs. Milo Agne and Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Dugger were in charge of flowers.

Mr. Walton died March 29 at Mercy hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a short illness.

The son of George and Eliza King Walton, he was born at Donahue Oct. 9, 1891 and was educated in the rural schools of Cedar county. He was married to Lucy Edna Pfarr Feb. 9, 1916 at Tipton. He farmed int he Tipton area until 1951 when he retired and moved to Tipton.

He was a member of United Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Maurice, Tipton; a grandson, Gary, Tipton and 2 brothers, Horace and Frank, both of Tipton. He was preceded in death by a brother.
