Last rites for Mrs. Arthur Baer, 81, were held at United Methodist church March 29 with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Parker, vocalists.

Pallbearers were A. S. Petersen, James Cary, Don Wilcutt, Claire Hill, Merlin Daughtery and H. W. Fields. The Dye funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Baer died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, March 26, following a long illness.

The daughter of Nathan J. and Mary Williams Karr, she was born in Meigs county, Ohio. She lived in Columbus and Syracuse, Ohio. She was married to Arthur Baer at Greenup, Ky., May 23, 1949.

She was a member of the United Methodist church and the Womens Society of Christian Service and the Senior Citizens.

She is survived by her husband, a sister, Marcia B. Karr, Syracuse, Ohio; a stepson, Louis A. Baer, Waukee; 2 stepdaughters, Mrs. Floyd (Dorothy) Anderson, Kankakee, Ill. and Mrs. Sheldon (Eloise) Smith, Rock Island, Ill. and 6 stepgrandchildren.
