Last rites for Bert E. Baker, 89, Atalissa, a native of Cedar county were held at West Liberty March 21, with burial in the Overman cemetery at Atalissa. Mr. Baker died at a Muscatine nursing home March 19.

The son of John and Mary Sentman Baker, he was born in Cedar county March 18, 1880 and was married to Ida Mae Ochiltree at Muscatine in 1901. They lived at Cedar Rapids before moving to Atalissa in 1940.

Mrs. Baker died in 1958. He was also preceded in death by a daughter. He is survived by 3 grandchildren.
