Funeral services for Mrs. John Wertzbaugher, 92, were held Feb. 15 at the West Branch Methodist church with the Rev. Roger Tappmeyer officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mrs. Wertzbaugher died at a West Branch nursing home Jan. 13 following a long illness.

Mrs. Wertzbaugher was born Sept. 8, 1876, in Cedar county, the daughter of William H. and Mary Elizabeth Hastings. Feb. 27, 1902, she was married to John W. Wertzbaugher in West Branch.

The couple farmed northeast of West Branch until 1946, when they moved to West Branch to make their home. She was a member of the West Branch United Methodist church and the Priscilla club.

Survivors are 2 daughters, Mrs. Margaret West, Iowa City and Mrs. Mary Marks, Mesa, Ariz.; 2 sons, William W., West Branch and Robert E., Atalissa, and 5 grandchildren.

Her husband preceded her in death.
