Funeral services for Lafe Leinbaugh, 79, were held Sept. 24 at Lost Nation, with burial in the Lost Nation cemetery. Mr. Leinbaugh died at the home of his son, Donald, in Clarence Sept. 22.
Mr. Leinbaugh was born on a farm near Lost Nation. He married Esther Rohling of Lost Nation May 1, 1918. She died in 1961.
The couple farmed near Lost Nation until they moved to a farm near Clarence 25 years ago.
Mr. Leinbaugh is survived by 5 daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Wilma) Burmeister, Lost Nation; Mrs. John (Helen) Casad, Grand Mound; Mrs. Lloyd (Alice) Hamdorf, Lowden; Mrs. Murray (Avis) Pattersen, Arlington Heights, Ill.; Mrs. Darrell (Donna) Zellers, Wheatland; 2 sons, Darrel, Mechanicsville and Donald, Clarence; 13 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, a brother, Arthur, Lost Nation, and 3 sisters, Mrs. Arnold Wulf and Mrs. Fred Wagner, both of Lost Nation, and Lottie Hamer, Brandenton, Fla.
