Memorial services for James C. Brady were held in Momence, Ill., Monday, Aug. 26, at St. Patrick's church. He died at Mercy hospital, Chicago, Aug. 23. The Rev. Father T. U. Demarais officiated, assisted by Mr. Brady's cousins, Mgr. Jack Fitzgerald and Father Tom Fitzgerald of Chicago.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. John Brady, he was born June 23, 1897, at Kentland, Ind. He was married August 5, 1931, at Marshall, Minn, to the former Isabel Regnier.

Mr. Brady is survived by his sons, James T., Cleveland, Ohio, and John A., Armonk, N.Y.; 4 granddaughters and 2 sisters, Mrs. Katharine O'Brien and Laura Brady of Momence. He was preceded in death by his wife, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Mr. Brady was a retired livestock buyer in Chicago for several years and was a buyer for Dubuque Packing company in Tipton for 27 years when he was a director of the First National Bank for many years.

Rosary was recited Aug. 22 at the Ruge Funeral Home and burial at Church cemetery, Momence, Ill.

Those attending funeral services for J. C. Brady at Momence, Ill., Aug. 26, were: Mr. Wayne Miller, Atty. Max Werling, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hayslett, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Petitgout, Mrs. Gladys Werling, Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Spencer and Georgia, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Young and Mr. and Mrs. John Fell, Iowa City.
